Here we are again cruising into the holidays. Lots of excitement at Smashed Productions right now. The website just keeps expanding and getting better thanks to Chris Hoover (the web guy). The new Jazz CD from the Gust Spenos Quartet titled Swing Theory has just been released. Needless to say, it.s awesome. You can check it out and buy right here on the site. Everybody involved had a lot of fun making it and it comes through in the music. So check it out.
The Divas & Duets DVD is now available. Unfortunately it won.t be available online, due to contractual issues. If you would like a copy stop by the studio or drop me an email.
Our newest cool project involves a video featuring one of the top tattoo artist in the country and how he creates a tattoo from start to finish. This will be available commercially very soon. This also marks the beginning of Smashed Productions. involvement with award-winning tattoo artist Joshua Carlton (he.s not the featured artist in the video, but we filmed at his shop).
And finally.. The Strand Theatre project is up and running full strength now and so is our documentary focusing on the history, repair, restoration and re-opening of the theatre.
We are asking for your pictures and memories of the Strand Theatre of Shelbyville Indiana to help create this movie. Drop me an email or call if you wantto share with us.

It's been a great month here at Smashed Productions. The Divas & Duets at the Downs show was a great success. We are currently editing the DVD of the show. Check back for details on that release. The Cornstock 2007 DVD has unfortunately been delayed do to a delay with finishing the audio mix. However, we are currently mixing the Gust Spenos jazz project. The recording sessions went very well and that cd will be released in November. We are still working on the Strand Theatre of Shelbyville project. The theatre is undergoing a major transformation and we are capturing all of it for the documentary. This renovation is a long process, but its going to be fantastic when it re-opens. Wow, it's been really busy around Smashed Productions lately.
We have some really cool projects going on and some changes coming to the website. We're getting ready to start recording a new jazz album with Dr. Gust Spinos. He will be using great musicians from all over the country. There will be more to come on this exciting project later.
We will be providing sound at a benefit concert for Marty Brown on Sept 8th from 7pm-midnight. Live music and fun for all. Call (317)332-0998 for more info.

The Pete Jarvis' Cornstock 2007 Concert DVD is moving along in production, we are now working on the audio tracks. It'll be out for sale in early October.
